Aquatics scholarships available for qualifying Santa Ana residents!

Thanks to the City's partnerships with the Kaiser Permanente Operation Splash, American Red Cross Centennial Campaign, and the U.S.A Swimming Foundation, reduced cost aquatics programs will be available to help reinforce drowning prevention and educate our community on water safety.

Separate scholarship applications available for each programs below:

Applications must be submitted in person at qualifying pool locations. Participants can enroll in classes with a minimum fee at the time of application submission to guarantee a spot. Once the application is processed and approved the scholarship will be applied. If the application is not approved, the participant will owe the remaining balance before the start date of the first class.

Household income requirements:

Complete the application on-site with your Santa Ana Parks and Recreation staff who will verify proof of income and residency. One application is required per family per session. Please bring a copy of  either your pay stub or W-2 as proof of income.

Swim lessons

Scholarships for swim lessons are available for youth, teens, and adults. Separate applications are required per session.

  • Each approved application will receive a $40 scholarship to be applied to the $55 total cost per session.
    • Participants will be responsible for the remaining $15 cost per session.
  • Scholarships are limited and are applied on a first come first serve basis.
  • Applications accepted in person only at El Salvador Center, Jerome Center, and Salgado Center when registration dates open for each session.

Junior Lifeguard Camp

Junior Lifeguard Camp scholarship available for Santa Ana residents ages 10 -15.

  • Each approved applicant will receive scholarships ranging from $65 - $110 to help be applied to the $110 total cost per camp.
  • Scholarships are limited to the first 25 approved applicants.

Silver Splash Program

Available on a first come first serve basis to all Santa Ana residents ages 55+

  • Approved applicants will have access to a $5 silver splash membership, valued at over $80!
  • The Silver Splash membership allows members to enroll in Aqua Fitness and Aqua Zumba classes all summer long at no additional cost.
  • Applications accepted in person only at the Southwest Senior Center or  Santa Ana Senior Center.
