The Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency will remember and rejoice passed loved ones at the third annual Día de Los Muertos: Magic of the Alters event. Hosted at the Roosevelt-Walker Community Center (816 E. Chestnut Ave.) on Friday, November 1 from 5-7:30 p.m., this cultural celebration will honor the historic tradition of the Day of the Dead. Everyone is invited to join the FREE festivities, which will include:
• An alter to place photos of passed loved ones
• Art making
• Face painting
• Games
• Snacks
• And much more!

The City of Santa Ana celebrates Día de Los Muertos all month long! Prior to November 1, join Roosevelt-Walker Recreation staff every Tuesday of October from 5:30-7 p.m. for free workshops for all ages. Weekly workshops include:
• Marigold and calavera crafts
• Pan de muerto clay creation
• Mini alters
• Papel picado prints
• And sugar skulls
