SANTA ANA, Calif. — The City of Santa Ana Water Resources Division is proud to announce the launch of its 10th Annual Youth Water Poster Contest, an exciting educational initiative for all students who live or attend school in Santa Ana.

This year’s theme, “Everyone Has a Role: Save Water,” encourages young artists to express their creativity while learning about the importance of water conservation.

“Educating our youth about water conservation is vital to safeguarding our community’s future,” said Mayor Valerie Amezcua, who is a board member of the Orange County Water District, which manages the water basin supplying over 85% of Santa Ana’s drinking water. “This contest offers students the chance to creatively explore their role in protecting this vital resource, inspiring their families and communities to join in our efforts.”

Participants will create artwork on a 12-by-18-inch white poster board or drawing paper with a 1-inch blank border on all sides. Students may use crayons, markers, colored pencils, paints, watercolors, pastels, cut paper, or fabric to bring their designs to life. Photography or computer-generated artwork is not allowed.

The contest deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Entries must be mailed or delivered to:
