As part of compliance requirements associated with the American Rescue Plan Act’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF), the City of Santa Ana produced its second annual report, entitled “The City of Santa Ana 2022 Recovery Plan Performance Report.

Referred to as Revive Santa Ana, the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund supports a series of COVID-19 recovery initiatives, including food distributions, direct financial assistance assistance to residents, improvements to our public infrastructure including new park restrooms, a variety of youth programs, and more. The Revive Santa Ana Spending Plan is how we go about spending using the SLFRF. It is broken down into five expenditure categories:

City Fiscal Health

Prioritize the allocation of city resources to ensure an efficient and expeditious
execution of relief funds in compliance with federal guidelines while supporting the long-term
priorities of the City’s strategic plan.

Public Health and Safety

Provide a safe environment for residents and visitors while reducing crime and
addressing the impacts of COVID-19 on our health and quality of life.

Critical Infrastructure

Ensure maintenance and preservation of City facilities and roadways to provide safe
and accessible public spaces that better serve the population and visitors.

Recovery from the Pandemic

Support equitable distribution of vital public health information and resources and
reduce the spread of COVID-19 resources.

Direct Assistance Programs

Provide direct financial and nutritional resources to residents, businesses and non-profit
organizations that have been financially constrained as a direct result of the pandemic.

Under each of these categories, there are a series of projects and activities that use SLFRF funds. The annual report shares the  general information (such as an overview and goals), as well as performance outcomes for each project and activity.
