SANTA ANA, Calif. – In commemoration of the community’s Asian and Vietnamese cultures, the City of Santa Ana is celebrating the Year of the Snake at the second annual Tết (Lunar New Year) Festival on Saturday, January 25, 2025. This free event will take place 1-6 p.m. at Centennial Park, 3000 W. Edinger Ave., Santa Ana.
“As we welcome the dawn of a new lunar year, I am thrilled to invite the entire community to join me at our annual Santa Ana Tết Festival,” Mayor Valerie Amezcua said. “This special occasion brings us together to share in the spirit of renewal while honoring Santa Ana’s rich Vietnamese and Asian heritage and traditions. Let’s celebrate new beginnings, unity and the promise of a bright year ahead!”
During this collaboration event between the Santa Ana Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency and the Santa Ana Public Library, guests can look forward to:
- Cultural performances and live entertainment, including a lion and dragon dance
- Drum performances
- Kids Zone
- Library Lane
- Food vendors
- Arts and crafts
- Scavenger hunt featuring the animal zodiac signs
- Fireworks show at 5:45 p.m.
In addition to these exciting elements, guests can look forward to special participation from Title Level Partners:
- The Anaheim Ducks, along with their official mascot, Wild Wing, will offer fun, themed activities and prizes that will be available for all (while supplies last). In addition to an event opportunity drawing to attend a future game, Santa Ana fans can look forward to purchasing discounted tickets to the Lunar New Year Celebration at the Anaheim Ducks vs. Dallas Stars game on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. - The Asian American Senior Citizens Service Center will feature a cultural exhibit and provide a variety of cultural entertainment on the main stage. Special games and prizes (while supplies last) will also be available throughout the entire event.
