Citywide Traffic Engineering Roadshow
The City of Santa Ana would like to hear from you regarding the Citywide Street Light Masterplan, Active Transportation Grant Opportunities and the Citywide Parking Study. The Traffic Engineering Division is hosting a series of community meetings where members of the public can learn more about the traffic engineering related studies and provide input. Available below we provide a brief overview of the topics that will be discussed at the Citywide Traffic Engineering Roadshow Meetings.
Citywide Street Light Master Plan
The City of Santa Ana is working to better understand and plan for upgrades to the City’s street lighting infrastructure, which includes approximately 16,000 streetlights. A new city-wide street lighting master plan is being developed to provide the city with an updated street lighting system, which will invest funds into analyzing. Please participate in a survey; this will help inform proposed lighting guidelines for City street lighting. The survey is available in English and Spanish.

Active Transportation Grant Opportunities
The City of Santa Ana is seeking your input regarding possible Active Transportation Grant (ATP) opportunities in your neighborhood. ATP grants provide funding for projects and programs that encourage healthy and active lifestyles. The following is a short summary of improvements that could available through ATP grant funding:
- High visibility continental crosswalk markings
- Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons for marked crosswalks
- Raised Crosswalks
- Bulb-outs/curb extensions
- Traffic Circles
- Wheel Chair Ramps
- Street Lights
- New Traffic Signals
- Modification of Existing Traffic Signals
- Bike Lanes and Bike Routes

Citywide Parking Study
The City of Santa Ana Public Works Agency is revamping the permit-parking program and we are seeking your input, comments, and suggestions that will define the new Residential Permit Parking Program for years to come.
The study will consist of tasks and objectives to develop a citywide permit parking program to provide balanced parking to support residents’ quality of life, visitors, businesses, and commuters. If you would like additional information regarding the Citywide Parking Study, please click here.
