The City of Santa Ana’s Public Works Agency continues to collaborate with local community based organizations and volunteer groups to perform general cleanup of trash and debris of public areas, helping to improve the City’s appearance. On Sunday, August 30, 2020, a Community Clean-Up event was held consisting of over a dozen volunteers, spanning more than 12 City blocks near the City’s Historic Downtown. Public Works Agency staff complemented efforts by providing the supplies, equipment and assisted in the general clean up and disposal of dozens of trash bags, abandoned shopping carts and disposed hypodermic needles.
These collaborative efforts continue to improve the City’s appearance and foster community pride of Santa Ana.
