Transforming Ideas Into Parks
Learn the process of creating community parks through the Project Planning Pipeline. Each stage reflects commitment to building spaces that inspire connection, recreation, and sustainability. Most projects funded by the ARPA, Measure X, and various grants. Find additonal information on all upcoming park projects.

Project Planning Timeline

Step 1: Planning  --> Step 2: Design --> Step 3: Contruction --> Step 4: Completion

*All new park projects below are marked with an asterik mark.

Step 1: Planning

In 2022, community feedback was collected to develop a road-map through the Parks Master Plan (PMP) to address access and equity. Feedback continues to be gathered from residents through workshops and surveys. Park improvements are prioritized based on advocacy, feasibility, and impact. Bringing a potential project to life then involves exploration and pursuance of diverse funding sources.
