Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Agency (PRCSA) gets ready for a Santa Ana summer with the newest edition of the CULTURA magazine
The summer 2024 edition of the award winning CULTURA: A Community Connection Guide is out now and not only includes the city’s upcoming programs and events, but highlights various successes celebrated last season. The latest issue covers city-wide community services provided by Recreation, the Library, and the Zoo from June 2024 through mid-September 2024.
The City of Santa Ana’s PRCSA was presented with not one, not two, but three 2023 Awards of Excellence granted by the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) at the annual CPRS Conference held late February 2024 in Palm Springs. CPRS is a nonprofit, professional, public interest organization that represents over 86% of park and recreation agencies all across California, making the state Award of Excellence a highly competitive recognition. Awards included:
- Creating Community: Community Health and Wellness for “Community Teaching Gardens: A Pathway to Health and Wellness”
- Excellence in Design: Park Planning for “Santiago Park”
- Marketing and Communications: Printed Publication or Materials, Class 4 for “CULTURA: A Community Connection Guide”
The Santa Ana community is eager, now more than ever, to embrace the latest edition of the CULTURA magazine. From exciting seasonal events and new PRCSA vehicles traveling across the city to celebrate July as Parks and Recreation month, the newest issue of the CULTURA gears up for a Santa Ana summer. Readers can learn more about upcoming cultural festivities, library enhancements, swim lessons, and potentially take part in a future award winning program!
