Cesar Chavez Day closure March 31
Santa Ana City Hall, libraries and community centers will be closed on Monday, March 31, 2025, in observance of Cesar Chavez Day.
There will be no street sweeping on March 31, but trash and recycling will be collected.

We issue cannabis business permits and write cannabis regulations.

The City of Santa Ana permits a variety of types of cannabis business activity:

  • Retail sales of medicinal and adult-use cannabis
  • Cultivation
  • Distribution
  • Manufacturing
  • Testing

Cannabis laws and regulations at the local, state, and federal level are subject to change. Most recently, On October 4, 2022 the City Council adopted an ordinance to update our cannabis regulations. Read the ordinance to learn more.
