About the Planning Division

The Planning Division maintains the City's General Plan and Zoning documents. Planning is also responsible for environmental review, historic preservation, implementation of commercial cannabis regulations, and new development. Planning provides staff support to the City's Planning Commission, the Historic Resources Commission, and the City Council.

In observance of Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, 2024, Santa Ana City Hall, Newhope Library, community centers and senior centers will be closed. There will be no street sweeping on Monday.
