Santa Ana Public Library will celebrate children and literacy in its 17th annual event.
SANTA ANA, Calif. – Santa Ana Public Library will hold its 17th annual Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros (Children’s Day, Book Day) celebration on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The free event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Plaza of the Sun, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, which is located between the Main Library and Santa Ana City Hall.
“Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros is a celebration of the power of stories to inspire, educate, and connect us all,” Mayor Valerie Amezcua said. “This event honors both our children and the rich cultural heritage that shapes their stories, reminding us that books are gateways to new worlds. We invite the entire community to join us for a day filled with entertainment, learning and family fun.”
Celebrate the importance of children, literacy, and families with an appearance featuring award-winning author Naibe Reynoso and author and songwriter Heidi Rojas, presenting their books “How to Stuff a Piñata” and “I Am Enough.”
Día de los Niños, Día de los Libros will feature a variety of fun-filled activities, including a book giveaway for children, trackless train rides, an inflatable Fun Derby, 8-track slot car racing, face painting, balloon twisting, and a special meet-and-greet with Biscuit, our favorite book character from the popular Biscuit book series. Attendees will enjoy a free hot dog, free nachos, and Italian ice while supplies last.

- 10:55 a.m.: Kiddle Karoo presents Storybook Adventure
- 11:55 a.m.: Authors Naibe Reynoso and Heidi Rojas
- 12:35 p.m.: Reverb Tap Company
- 1:15 p.m.: Juggler Extraordinaire Michael Rayner
Parking:
Parking for the event will be located at P6 Parking Structure, 601 W. Santa Ana Blvd., and at P1 Stadium Parking Structure, 1020 W. Civic Center Drive. Hourly rates apply.
