Emergency shelter and transitional housing ordinance

The ordinance

Through a collaborative effort, the City has adopted a new ordinance to help address homeless needs in Santa Ana. This ordinance is in response to Senate Bill 2, requiring all communities in California to identify at least one zone where emergency shelters can be allowed by right, as well as residential zones to allow Transitional/Supportive Housing opportunities.
