Upcoming Events

Round 2 Stakeholder Workshops

The City invites a broad array of stakeholders to participate in the second round of workshops for the Comprehensive Zoning Code Update, which will take place in May 2025. Building on the insights shared during the first round of workshops in July and November 2024, these sessions offer an opportunity for community members, business owners, developers, design professionals, and all interested parties to comment on draft regulations to be included in the Zoning Code.

Join us as we explore the following topics:

  • Regulating the interface between residential and industrial uses
  • Establishing modern development and design standards
  • Creating new and refining existing land use regulations
  • Exploring opportunities for streamlining application processes
  • Addressing nonconforming uses and structures

Your participation is invaluable as we work together to create a twenty-first-century and user-friendly Zoning Code to achieve the community vision in the General Plan. We look forward to a productive and collaborative discussion with you!

Community Workshops

In July 2024, the City hosted six open house-style community workshops, which made up round 1 of three for the project. Each open house covered the same content. Different dates, times, and locations were offered to make the workshops accessible to the broadest segment of the community possible. Nearly 120 people attended the workshops and expressed a variety of opinions with emergent themes including affordable housing, a walkable environment, parking, open space, and noxious uses.

The following buttons open boards from the open house. Click on one of the buttons below to see the boards and to submit your comments.
