Cesar Chavez Day closure March 31
Santa Ana City Hall and non-essential services will be closed on Monday, March 31, 2025, in observance of Cesar Chavez Day.
There will be no street sweeping on March 31, but trash and recycling will be collected.

Impounded vehicles and post storage hearings

A vehicle release must be obtained in person at the Santa Ana Police Department's Traffic Division.

The following is required:

  • The registered owner or their agent must be present with a valid driver’s License.
  • If the registered owner does not possess a driver’s license, he/she must have a valid California DMV Identification card.
  • Current registration for the impounded vehicle.
  • A fee to be paid by Visa/MasterCard, or cash with exact change only for the release of the vehicle.
  • A vehicle release form from the Police Department is required for 30-day impound.

Fees

  • $188.00 for a non-driver's license related impound
  • $256.00 for a driver's license related impound
  • $5.00 sign-offs for SAPD issued citations
  • $21.00 sign-offs for non-SAPD issued citations
  • $2.00 for copy of lost citation
