Inaugural Chicano Heritage Festival kicks off August 28

The City of Santa Ana’s inaugural Chicano Heritage Festival will take place on Sunday, August 28, 2022, from 12 to 8 p.m. at El Salvador Park. This free community event will include live music, kids’ activities, food trucks, exhibitors, and a car show.

Celebrating the Santa Ana City Council’s proclamation recognizing August as Chicano Heritage Month, the event will feature performances by professional entertainers Little Willie G., Joe Bataan, Kid Frost, A Lighter Shade of Brown and many others. Chicano literary artists as well as an art exhibit, educational panels, Azteca dancers, carnival games and DJ performances will be on full display for this exciting family and cultural event.

El Salvador Park is located at 1825 West Civic Center Drive in Santa Ana. Onsite event parking is available. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and bring a lawn chair and blanket. Food will be available for purchase.
