Mayor’s Message: January Reflections and February Events

I hope you had a fantastic start to the year! January was a month filled with meaningful events. One of the highlights was attending the 2025 U.S. Conference of Mayors in Washington, D.C. The conference brought together over 250 bipartisan mayors from across the country to discuss solutions to critical issues facing our cities, including affordable housing, public safety, immigration, and infrastructure investment. It was an inspiring and productive event, and I’m excited to bring back the ideas and energy to Santa Ana.

Chúc Mừng Năm Mới! (Happy Lunar New Year!)
The 2nd Annual Santa Ana Tết Festival at Centennial Park was a truly special event that celebrated family, community, and culture. I was also honored to ride in the 2025 Tết Parade in Westminster. It was heartwarming to see so many families come together to honor traditions and welcome the Lunar New Year. It’s always inspiring to witness our community uniting in celebration, embracing our heritage, and strengthening our bonds.

Santa Ana: A Welcoming City

I want to reaffirm Santa Ana’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of all our residents. Our city will always be a welcoming city — not only through our ordinances, but through the inclusive and community-driven spirit we embody.

The City has created a Know Your Rights information page offering resources and guidance. We believe it is crucial that everyone, whether a friend, family member, or neighbor, know their rights.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my office. I am grateful to our City leadership for implementing this initiative, and I look forward to continuing our work in making Santa Ana a safe and welcoming place for all.

As we move into February, I would like to invite you to join me for two exciting upcoming events:

  • 2025 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast – Hosted by the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce.
    Tuesday, February 11
    7:30 – 9 a.m.
Templo Calvario Church, 2501 W. 5th St., Santa Ana
For more details and to RSVP, please visit this page.
  • Coffee with the Mayor – A casual and open opportunity for residents to meet with me, ask questions, and discuss issues affecting our community.
    Saturday, February 22
    10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Historic French Park, 901 N. French St.

I look forward to seeing you at all the fun upcoming community events and activities and wish you and your family a lovely February.

Sincerely,

Santa Ana’s development renaissance captures national attention

Our business-friendly, responsible approach to development is revitalizing and repurposing aging shopping centers, offices and industrial buildings, as well as bringing new jobs to the community, creating more green space, and building future tax revenue to provide services for all Santa Ana residents.
