The City’s Public Works Agency staff is pleased to announce that the latest round of bus stop furniture replacement began in May. The City has developed a new Santa Ana design for the 134 pairs of one bench and one trash container. Installation is prioritized for stops with no furniture or missing furniture components.
The new design will also be used on bus shelter replacements within the Main Street project, which is scheduled to begin in fall 2021. In addition, Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is providing funding for additional bus shelter replacements at 35 locations within the City, which is anticipated for spring 2022.
