Only fireworks labeled “Safe and Sane” are legal in Santa Ana city limits during the following dates and hours:
- July 1 – 12 (noon) to 10 p.m.
- July 2 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- July 3 – 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- July 4 – 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Illegal fireworks pose substantial dangers to people and buildings, and possession and/or use of illegal fireworks is a crime. Violators may be subject to $1,000 fines and up to one year in jail.
