Peggy Slonkosky wins teacher drawing in Santa Ana’s Youth Water Poster Contest

Posted on March 20, 2024

Peggy Slonkosky, a teacher at Madison Elementary School, has won a $200 Art Supply Warehouse gift card as the winner of the first Teacher Drawing in this year’s Youth Water Poster Contest, aimed at raising student awareness of water conservation through creative expression.

Peggy is known for nurturing creativity and promoting water conservation and has been an active participant in the contest for many years. Notably, one of her students won 8 years ago.

The drawing was exclusive to teachers who ordered contest materials for their classrooms before March 12. These materials are provided free of charge by Santa Ana’s Water Resources Division each year to facilitate and encourage student participation in the contest.

Teachers attending the Youth Water Poster Contest Exhibit and Awards Reception on May 18, 2024, will have a chance to win another $200 gift card. Special invitations will be sent to teachers whose students participate in the contest.

Congratulations again to Peggy on her win! We look forward to seeing the impact of all participating teachers and students as they begin to submit their entries in this year’s poster contest. For more information about the Annual Youth Water Poster Contest, please visit santaanawater.org.
