Registration is now open for the 10k, 5k and Kids Dash.
SANTA ANA, Calif. – The annual Santa Ana Fun Run returns April 27 with a totally tubular ’80s theme. Race over to Santa Ana Stadium to run in the 10K, walk/run in the 5K, or bring the kids to participate in the second annual Kids Dash! All running levels are welcomed and encouraged to break out their neon windbreakers, neon tights, and scrunchies at this event hosted by the City of Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency.
The Kids Dash and 5K remain at no cost to the community. Spots are limited and pre-registration is required. Participation in the 10K is $25 and the fee includes a commemorative Fun Run shirt. Participants are now able to pre-purchase a Santa Ana Fun Run shirt online at a special discounted rate of $15 and a beer garden entry wristband for $2 at santa-ana.org/fun-run/. Shirts will also be sold on site the day of the event for $20 and beer garden entry wristbands will be sold for $5.

- 10K Run – 7 a.m. start

Bib Pick-Up
This year, the Santa Ana Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency is excited to announce a foundation level partnership with Orange County’s Credit Union, who is supporting the Santa Ana Fun Run by hosting two days of early bib pick-up at their Ross Street branch location.
Participants will have three opportunities to pick up their bib and epic swag bag. Race day check-in and bib pick-up will begin at 5:30 a.m. at Santa Ana Stadium or participants can choose to do an early bib pick-up at the parking lot of Orange County’s Credit Union’s Ross Street branch, located at 856 N. Ross St., Santa Ana, on the following dates:
- Wednesday, April 24, 2-6 p.m.
- Friday, April 26, 2-6 p.m.
5K/10K Fun Run
The 5K/10K Fun Run will be on April 27. Pre-registration is required for all runners/walkers, and spots will be limited. Participants will be divided by age groups ranging from 10 years old to 80-plus years old. Registration will be available on March 28 for all age divisions at runsignup.com/Race/CA/SantaAna/SantaAnaFunRun.
The festivities will kick off with the 10K race beginning promptly at 7 a.m. Then the 5K race will follow at 8 a.m. As a post-race treat, the Friends of the Santa Ana Zoo (FOSAZ) will be operating a beer garden opening at 8 a.m. (21 years old and over only). Age verification wrist bands are required and will be sold for $5 at the event site or can be purchased in advance for a discounted rate of $2.
Medals will be awarded for the top three male and female finishers from each age division. The age divisions are as follows:10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49 , 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ years.
Kids Dash
The Kids Dash is free for all participants ages 3 to 10 years. Check-in will open at 8:30 a.m. The Dash will begin following the completion of the 5K at 9:30 a.m. on the Santa Ana Stadium field with a special mascot dash. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Kids Dash races will be divided by age groups and corresponding distances:

- Ages 5-6 (50 yards)
- Ages 7-8 (100 yards)
- Ages 9-10 (100 yards)

Parking
Parking for the entire event will be located at P1 Stadium Parking Structure, 1020 W. Civic Center Drive, and at P6 Parking Structure, 601 W. Santa Ana Blvd. Regular parking rates will apply.
