Santa Ana launches Special Event Sponsorship Program

The City of Santa Ana is excited to announce the launch of its Special Event Sponsorship Program for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.  Our Community Development Agency has received  $200,000 available for special event sponsorship opportunities; up to $15,000 each is available to eligible applicants. This program aims to support nonprofit organizations, businesses, City-recognized neighborhood associations, individuals, and community organizations in hosting special events that contribute to the community’s cultural and social enrichment.

Eligible applicants can request sponsorship funds of up to $15,000 for their events and programs. The Community Development Agency will review and approve sponsorship requests based on their alignment with the City’s mission. Funds will be distributed on a rolling basis until exhausted, and events must be completed by June 30, 2024. Sponsorship funds can be applied to various event-related expenses, ongoing program costs, special events application or permit fees, and reservation fees for City-owned facilities and equipment. However, events should occur at least two weeks from the date of the Arts & Culture Commission meeting to allow time for processing.

Application Process

Applicants interested in securing sponsorship for their events can apply online exclusively through https://cityofsantaana.submittable.com/submit  Applicants may apply for only one sponsorship per fiscal year, and only one application per project will be accepted. The application process is ongoing, and applicants are encouraged to submit their proposals within the specified deadlines. Accepted applications must be approved by a majority of the Arts & Culture Commissioners.
