2024-25 City budget: Share your ideas about programs and spending with our survey and community meetings

The Santa Ana community has an opportunity to share their ideas about which local programs and services are most important to them and how their tax dollars should be spent.

The City of Santa Ana’s Finance and Management Services Agency is hosting a series of community budget meetings and has launched a Community Budget Priorities Survey to gather public input to aid in the preparation of the City’s Fiscal Year 2024-25 Annual Budget. The meetings and survey aim to capture the best possible picture of what residents, business owners and other stakeholders want from their City. The survey is available in English, Spanish and Vietnamese, and the community budget meetings will have Spanish and Vietnamese interpretation.

The City operates on an annual fiscal budget that begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year. The budget funds operations, such as administration and services, and capital improvements, such as fixing and upgrading streets and City-owned facilities.

The Community Budget Priorities Survey is available until midnight on May 13, 2024. Residents can also share their budget input with the Simulate and Prioritize tools, which allow users to balance the City budget and prioritize important projects.
