Southern California Edison (SCE) plans to install new power lines on the SR-55 freeway, which will require a full closure of both northbound and southbound lanes between Edinger Avenue and Dyer Road. This activity will occur as early as 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly, Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. Crews may need to return the following weekend to complete the work.
In addition, the following ramps, connectors, and streets will be closed:
- Southbound Dyer Road off-ramps
- Northbound Dyer Road on-ramps
- Southbound Edinger Avenue on-ramp
- Southbound McFadden Avenue on-ramp
- Southbound I-5 to southbound SR-55 HOV connector
- Southbound I-405 to northbound SR-55 HOV connector
- Westbound Warner Avenue over SR-55

The Orange County Transportation Authority and Caltrans are improving 4 miles of SR-55 between I-5 to I-405. The project will improve traffic flow and reduce travel time by adding one regular lane and one carpool lane in each direction. More information at octa.net/SR55South.
