On November 6, 2024, the City of Santa Ana experienced the first Santa Ana Wind event of the fall season, resulting in significant tree damage and extraordinary large amounts of debris accumulation Citywide.  The City’s priority is to return to the clean conditions prior to the wind event as soon as possible.

City Staff is working extra hours and has worked every day, including weekends and the recent holiday, to clean up the City.  Unfortunately, service delays have been experienced due to the high volume of debris for street sweeping and illegal dumping response operations.  City Staff is monitoring the sweeping operations closely and are supplementing the cleaning efforts with hand cleaning crews on the routes to expedite services.

Thank you for your understanding of the challenges that we have all experienced from the Santa Ana Windstorm and please feel confident that the City will have the sweeping and other service operations back to normal in the very near future.  Please continue to report large accumulations of wind related debris by using the MySantaAna Reporting APP or by calling the Public Works Dispatch at (714) 647-3380.
