Subpoenas, summons, and legal service

The City Clerk's Office accepts service for summons and subpoenas relating to City business, including subpoenas for the appearance of City employees. The City Clerk's Office does not accept lawsuits which name only an individual and for which the City is not named.

Subpoenas, summons, and legal service for City records should be served in person at:

If the legal service requires payment, please provide a hard copy, along with payment by check or money order payable to “City of Santa Ana.”
