Teen Summer Camp
Dive into summer and make new memories with us at Teen Summer Camp.
Santa Ana Parks & Recreation staff will host this NEW summer youth program for ages 13-17 years at the Garfield Community Center. This program strives to foster personal growth for youth by providing safe, enjoyable, and engaging activities. Participants can look forward to exciting weekly off-site excursions, Wednesday catered dinner featuring industry experts, fun themed activities, eSports & technology! Free lunch provided by the Santa Ana Unified School District at Garfield Elementary Monday to Friday from 11:00am-12:00pm.
Look forward to 10 fun-filled weeks, each with a different theme. The weekly fee is inclusive of all activities and an excursion. Thursdays will be off-site excursion days. One shirt and jacket per participant is included at initial registration for the duration of the summer. We kindly ask that all teens bring a water bottle and snack each day, and be prepared to wear the camp shirts on Thursdays for the planned excursions.

- Drop-in Hours: Monday – Friday, 12:00pm - 3:00pm
- (FREE) Teens can enjoy fun; staff supervised activities at the Center prior to camp.
- Teen Camp Hours: Monday – Friday 3:00pm - 6:00pm
- Residents weekly fee: $25
- Resident sibling rate (per additional family participant): $20
- Non-residents weekly fee: $35
- Non-resident sibling rate (per additional family participant): $30

All excursions with transportation are included in the weekly camp fee for each participant. No guardians will be permitted on the excursions with the camp groups.

- What are the days and times camp is held?
- Monday to Friday, 3:00PM to 6:00PM, Center Drop-in hours will be from 12:00PM to 3:00PM.
- What is the difference between Drop-in hours and Teen Summer Camp hours?
- Drop-in hours is an opportunity for teens to experience free programming with staff supervised activities Monday to Friday from 12:00pm – 3:00pm.
- Teen Summer Camp hours are Monday to Friday from 3:00pm – 6:00pm with exciting specialized activities such as weekly off-site excursions, Wednesday catered dinner featuring industry experts, fun themed activities, eSports & technology, and much more!
- What if my teen has summer school?
- We recognize not all of our teens will be available the whole day due to other commitments such as summer school, sports, etc. and as a result have modified camp programming hours to 3:00pm – 6:00pm to accommodate these commitments. We welcome teens to attend the hours and days of camp they are able.
- When can I register my child?
- Registration is open April 20th for all 10 weeks up until Monday morning of that camp each week. Example: Registration for Week 1 starting June 5th is open April 20th up until the Monday, June 5th.
- What is the price?
- Residents: $25 for one child, $20 for each additional sibling
- Non-Residents: $35 for one child, $30 for each additional sibling
- What if my child can only attend certain weeks?
- The parent can pay just for those weeks. Each week is paid separately.
- Where can my teen eat lunch?
- Prior to camp hours, free lunch provided by SAUSD is available at Garfield Elementary, Monday – Friday from 11:00am – 12:00pm.
- How does my teen check-in and out of camp daily?
- We highly encourage parents of teens to sign in and out their participants daily. However, we recognize that not all parents will be able to do. Please speak to camp staff and prior arrangements can be made.
- If I work during the day, how can my teen get to camp?
- The Santa Ana Unified School District has partnered with OCTA to provide free Youth Ride Free Passes on public transportation for youth ages 6 to 18.
