Traffic management
About
The City’s Traffic Management Center, a state of the art facility located in City Hall, is the focal point of traffic signal control and information management. Real-time traffic information is collected and used to manage traffic flow, congestion and dissemination of traffic information to the public.
Santa Ana's Advanced Traffic Management System
Santa Ana's Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) is the integration of various intelligent transportation systems elements such as traffic signal systems, the Closed Circuit Television system, loop based and video detection data collection, and the Integrated Traveler Information System. The system elements communicate via a network of hardwire, fiber optic and wireless links. The ATMS allows traffic engineers to collect and monitor real-time traffic conditions from a central location, including visual verification of incidents, and to provide an appropriate response in a timely manner.
Local Synchronization Plan
The Cities 2020 Local Synchronization Plan exemplifies the Cities pledge to providing a safe, efficient and well-maintained transportation network.
